About Me

I was born and raised in Arizona and have worked as a massage therapist, a registered nurse, and a wedding photographer. These days, I spend most of my time writing, though I still take on family photography from time to time.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me hiking, doing Pilates, savoring my husband’s chocolate chip cookies, or chasing my two kids at a climbing gym who have absolutely no fear of heights.

Most days, though, I’m tucked somewhere quiet with my laptop, my dog, and my bird, doing what I love most.

Whether in a remote village in Mozambique, through my work as a nurse, or simply in my own backyard, I’m always searching for the story—and I always find it.

FAQ

  • My stories are all inspired in some way by my own personal experiences.

  • I'm working on a historical romance inspired by my time in Portugal and some Portuguese culture. Rich in folklore, passion, and the soul-stirring tunes of fado, it’s a tale of love, loss, and following one's heart.

  • My love scenes are written with a deep emotional resonance, capturing the intimacy of the moment without explicit details. While the doors aren't closed, I focus more on the emotions of my characters rather than the physical specifics. Expect to feel right in the moment, connected to the characters' in a tastefully style that leaves some things to the imagination.

  • I've always loved the lyrical style and emotional depth of Amy Harmon. Irène Némirovsky’s, Suite Francais, has been highlighted and noted in more than any book I own.

  • While my writing primarily falls under women's fiction, it encompasses much more. Each story is romance-driven, but isn't strictly classified romance due to the complex character arcs outside of the romantic relationship. My work is considered upmarket fiction, blending literary prose with commercial appeal. While set in historical periods, my novels are not strictly historical fiction. They focus on personal stories and relationships rather than specific historical events.

  • I’m eager to connect with my audience, especially through platforms like Instagram, where we can engage and share experiences. They can also purchase my book from Amazon.
